We have many cancellations for classes so please, call us if you are interested in a class that's filled. If you sign up for the waiting list on the filled classes below and do not get in the class, you will get first chance if we reschedule the class. If you're interested in a class but the date doesn't work for you, let us know and we'll call you if we reschedule the class in the future.

Bows & Blooms
Date: Saturday, March 13. 9am-5pm
Description: This Easter/Spring basket is woven on a slotted base. Techniques include chase weaving, triple twining, and a braided rim.

Dimensions: 10 " x 15 3/4 " x 13" high
Weaving Level: Intermediate

Free Open Weave
Date: Sat. March 20 , 10 a.m.- 5 p.m.

Sweet Swirls
Date: Saturday, March 27. 9am-5pm
Description:

Dimensions: Diameter 14" x 5" high w/o handle, 13" high with handle
Weaving Level: Intermediate

Cost: $55 with handle, $50 w/o handle

Dawn's Casserole

Date: Saturday, April 10. 9am-5pm .
Description: Techniques include chase weaving, stat stop weave, twining and reversed twining.

A weekend with MARLENE MEYER
APRIL 16, 17 and 18
Friday Noon -9 p.m., Sat. 9 to as long as we want to weave, Sunday 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

This weekend will take the same format as our 6 previous Marlene Meyer weekends but classes will be held at East Troy Basketry. If I was a bit younger I’d suggest a pajama party with sleeping bags on the floor but I think a nearby motel or B&B will have to do. I’m still working on that. Anybody got a big RV?

If you’ve never attended a M.M. weekend, here’s the scoop……
Marlene brings about 30 baskets that she has designed. Everybody makes what they want, cutting their own spokes and following the pattern. Marlene helps everybody with new techniques, shaping, embellishments etc. You get help with what you need most!

Costs: $60/day teaching fee (due in advance as deposit to hold your reservation)

$10/basket for reed, dyed reed and cane

If you choose to make a basket with a base, handle, yarn, birch or other embellishments, you pay the price marked on that item. That way, you can control the cost of your baskets and make as many or as few baskets as you want.
